DC Courts Celebrates a Standout Summer with Judicial Council Division (JCD) Interns
Each summer, the Judicial Council Division (JCD) of the Washington Bar Association hosts an internship program that connects exceptional law students and undergraduate students with D.C. judges. Under the leadership of DC Superior Court Judge Ebony M. Scott, Chair of the Judicial Council Division, this year’s cohort of 40 interns dedicated themselves to a full 40-hour workweek enriched by weekly professional development opportunities.
Throughout the summer, interns engaged with the Judicial Nomination Commission, the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, attorneys from the Public Advocacy Division of the D.C. Office of the Attorney General, and Saul Jay Singer, Senior Legal Ethics Counsel for the D.C. Bar. They also enjoyed a guided courthouse tour led by Deputy Marshal Robert Kroll, among many other valuable experiences.
The DC Courts' congratulate this outstanding group of interns and wish them continued success in their legal careers. We look forward to welcoming them back as future law clerks.
