It Will Please Christ. Our Lord, Savior, and Redeemer

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
— Matthew 11:28-29
WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, April 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The National Black Church Initiative (NBCI) is a coalition of 150,000 African American and Latino faith communities, comprising 27.7 million members, and Rev. Anthony Evans, president of the National Black Church Initiative, makes a pastoral gesture to invite 40 million Americans who have stopped attending church to Easter Service this Sunday. You are welcome to attend any church of your liking if you and your family are in Church.

Rev. Anthony Evans, president of the National Black Church Initiative, says,” Our nation is tired, confused, angry, and all of us are overwhelmed. This is why I decided to invite everyone to pray, take a break, and leave these raw emotions in the hands of the one who holds up the world--Christ our savior. He's got the whole world in his hands"

This is a powerful and needed invitation, given the social and political chaos in our nation, which is at war. Everyone you talk to is baffled by the confusion in our home and community. We need time to pray together

Matthew 11:28-29
28  Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29  Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
